Our relationship to the planet and the elements of nature are integral to being human. The distance we have created from this simple truth is partially responsible for the current stage of climate change and extinctions. Earth Medicine is a series of yoga and meditation based classes that blend ancient wisdom, energetic healing techniques, such as Qi Gong, with classical hatha yoga and Native American teachings of earth stewardship.

Finding Ground ~ Meditation & Pranayama & Asana
~ Our breath is our life.
Learn the art of breathing brings stability and presence. As our current civilization undergoes massive transformation, our ability to stay connected, focused and healthy depends on being present. Our breath brings us that moment to moment awareness that keeps us grounded and calm.
This unique class begins with a brief silent meditation allowing connection to self, then evolves into a thematic breath meditation cycle and gentle deep yoga movements. The goal is to open the channels of energy, gain clarity and connect with our spirit. This class creates an awakened, embodied and healing experience for all levels.
From Love Letter to the Earth (2013), Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us of our weaknesses and asks us to fall in love again with the Earth. To do so, he suggests building mindfulness into every moment of every day, every action, every thought. In particular, he asks us to awaken our relationship to Earth, and take refuge in her beauty and stability.
